Today AWS Direct Connect has landed sites in four cities – Miami, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and London. With global access enabled for AWS Direct Connect, these sites can reach AWS resources in any global AWS region. In the US, Equinix MI1, Miami brings the total AWS Direct Connect sites in the country to 29. In the AWS Management Console, Miami will be found under its home region of US East (Northern Virginia). In South America, Equinix RJ2, Rio de Janeiro, marks the first AWS Direct Connect site in Brazil outside of Sao Paulo. The AT Tokyo Chuo Data Center site is the second AWS Direct Connect site in Tokyo and third in Japan. In the UK, Telehouse North Two is the third site in the London area that will be found in the console under EU West (London) region.

Today, Amazon WorkMail released two new features: an administrative SDK and AWS CloudTrail integration.

With global access enabled for AWS Direct Connect, these sites can reach AWS resources in any global AWS region.
