AWS Direct Connect brings the Amazon network to South Africa in Cape Town & Johannesburg
Today AWS Direct Connect has landed for the first time on the African continent with two new sites in Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa. In Cape Town, AWS Direct Connect is at the Teraco CT1 data center and in Johannesburg, at the Teraco JB1 data center. Both these AWS Direct Connect sites can be found under the EU West (Ireland) AWS region in the AWS Management Console. With global access enabled for AWS Direct Connect, these sites can reach AWS resources in any global AWS region.
