Starting today, you can use AWS Resource Groups and Tag Editor in the AWS GovCloud (US) Regions. AWS Resource Groups makes it easier to manage and automate tasks on large numbers of AWS resources. AWS Resource Groups Tag Editor allows you to add tags to, edit, or delete tags on multiple AWS resources at once. Amazon QuickSight announces Data Source Sharing, Table Transpose, New Filtering and Analytical Capabilities
Amazon QuickSight now supports sharing data sources with users and groups. You can create data sources from any data source supported by QuickSight and share across users and groups similar to other assets such as data sets, analyses, and dashboards. With this feature, data source co-owners can now edit the underlying SQL for custom SQL data sets. Data source sharing is supported on all types except S3 analytics and file-based data sets. AWS CodePipeline Enables Setting Environment Variables on AWS CodeBuild Build Jobs
You can now set environment variables for CodeBuild build jobs in your pipeline. Previously, build jobs in your pipeline could only use environment variables defined in the build project configuration or buildspec file. When building for different environments and stages, you can now set environment variables directly through CodePipeline. You can now reuse the same build project for multiple actions and simplify deployments to staging and production environments in your pipeline. You can also view the environment variables used for your build in the pipeline execution history alongside all other action configuration details.

Amazon Redshift Improves Performance of Inter-Region Snapshot Transfers
Performance enhancements have been made that allow Amazon Redshift to copy snapshots across regions much faster, allowing customers to support much more aggressive Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) Disaster Recovery (DR) policies. The performance of copying a snapshot across regions is now orders of magnitude faster than what was achievable earlier this year, with up to 40,000 MB/s transfer rates observed.
