Customers building services that communicate using protocols like HTTP/2 and gRPC can now model and manage their inter-service communications using AWS App Mesh.

The AWS Step Functions Data Science Software Development Kit (SDK) is an open-source library that allows you to easily create workflows that pre-process data and then train and publish machine learning models using Amazon SageMaker and AWS Step Functions. You can create machine learning workflows in Python that orchestrate AWS infrastructure at scale, without having to provision and integrate the AWS services separately.

This Quick Start deploys TrueVoice Proof of Value (PoV) registration artifacts on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. 

You can now choose an Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) Lifecycle Management policy to automatically move files that haven’t been accessed for 7 days into the EFS Infrequent Access (EFS IA) storage class and save up to 92% as your access patterns change. You can configure this new policy option for your file system, or you can use one of the existing policy options: 14, 30, 60, or 90 days. 

You can now debug and monitor your Apache Spark jobs by logging directly into the off-cluster, persistent, Apache Spark History Server using the EMR Console.  

PostgreSQL 12.0 is now available in the Amazon RDS Database Preview Environment, allowing customers to test the initial version of PostgreSQL 12 on Amazon RDS. 

AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) Private Certificate Authority (CA) is now available in the South America (São Paulo) region. This regional expansion extends the availability of ACM PrivateCA across the globe, increasing the number of regions to 20. 

In a single click you can now set all AWS Systems Manager Agents in your fleet to automatically update to the Agents’ latest version. AWS Systems Manager Agent (SSM Agent) is Amazon software that can be installed and configured on an Amazon EC2 instance, an on-premises server, or a virtual machine (VM) to enable AWS Systems Manager to securely connect to, configure, and manage these resources. With the new single-click setting, it is much easier to ensure that all of your SSM Agents automatically have the most recent updates and capabilities. Amazon Comprehend is a natural language processing (NLP) service that uses machine learning to find insights and relationships in text. Starting today, Amazon Comprehend is adding the following six new languages that are highly requested by customers: Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Korean, Hindi, Japanese, and Arabic. These languages expand upon the existing six languages already available in Amazon Comprehend: English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.

AWS IoT Device Defender is now available in AWS Middle East (Bahrain), extending its footprint to 18 AWS regions. AWS IoT Device Defender is a fully-managed service that makes it easy for customers to manage the end-to-end security of their IoT fleet.
