The use of huge pages results in smaller page tables and less CPU time spent on memory management, increasing the performance of large database instances. Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL supports multiple page sizes for PostgreSQL versions 9.4.11 and later, 9.5.6 and later, and 9.6.2 and later.
