Amazon Kinesis Data Firehose now supports delivery to Amazon Elasticsearch Service across accounts. Now your delivery stream and your Elasticsearch clusters can reside in different accounts. This makes it easier for Amazon Elasticsearch Service customers with multiple accounts to ingest streaming data and analyze it in near real time. 

You can now compare and view differences between two notebooks that are version controlled with Git in SageMaker. Jupyter notebooks (which SageMaker notebooks are built upon) are stored as JSON documents which include tags and metadata, making it difficult to diff with traditional line-by-line text diffing tools.  

Application Load Balancers and Network Load Balancers now support three new security policies for forward secrecy: ELBSecurityPolicy-FS-1-2-2019-08, ELBSecurityPolicy-FS-1-1-2019-08 and ELBSecurityPolicy-FS-1-2-Res-2019-08.

Amazon Athena now allows you to connect directly to Athena through an interface VPC endpoint in your Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). With this feature, you can submit your queries to Athena securely without requiring an Internet Gateway in your VPC.

AZ64, a proprietary compression encoding that is designed to achieve a high compression ratio and improved query performance, is now available. Innovations in the AZ64 algorithm efficiently compress small groups of data values and leverage SIMD instructions for data parallel processing. This encoding results in significant storage savings in most cases relative to LZO and ZSTD encodings and optimal de-compression performance for numeric and date/time data stored in Amazon Redshift.

Amazon Elastic Container Service(ECS) now supports the ability to add G4 Instance types to your ECS clusters in all regions where G4 is supported by Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) . Amazon EC2 G4 instances deliver the industry’s most cost-effective GPU instance for deploying machine learning models in production and graphics-intensive applications. 

Today, AWS Managed Services (AMS) released a feature set of usability improvements for the AMS Console. AMS allows you to choose from a catalog of over 30 AWS services, and over a hundred different Change Types (CTs), to deploy or update resources into your AMS environment. This release allows you to use a keyword search to find CTs, and an option to filter your results by most recently or frequently used. This simplifies your ability to find what you need based on your usage.

Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) Traffic Mirroring now supports AWS CloudFormation. AWS CloudFormation enables you to provision and configure AWS infrastructure deployments predictably and repeatedly through template files.  

Amazon Cognito has increased support for AWS CloudFormation. This new support includes the ability to securely and automatically configure a hosted UI domain, configure customization for a hosted UI, configure an IdentityProvider, configure the behavior of advanced security features and configure resource servers, all directly within CloudFormation.

Today, Amazon Pinpoint added support for enhanced message templates. You can create templates for email messages, push notifications, and SMS messages for all of your Amazon Pinpoint projects. Message templates help you design, manage, and reuse your messaging content in an easy and effective manner.
