The Osram Oslux S2.1 multi-chip packaged LED mixes color temperature to match ambient lighting and optimize photos and video, while new Lumileds COB LEDs extend flux output to 30,000 lm for street-light and high-bay lighting.

AWS Direct Connect now has two new locations in LG U+ Pyeong-Chon Mega Center, Seoul, South Korea, and Menara AIMS, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia supporting the Asia Pacific (Seoul) and Asia Pacific (Singapore) AWS Regions respectively. Customers in these cities can now establish a dedicated network connection from their premise to AWS. 

AWS Greengrass is software that lets you run local compute, messaging, data and state synchronization for connected devices in a secure way. With AWS Greengrass, connected devices can run AWS Lambda functions, keep device data in sync, and communicate with other devices securely – even when not connected to the Internet. Using AWS Lambda, Greengrass ensures your IoT devices can respond quickly to local events, operate with intermittent connections, and minimize the cost of transmitting IoT data to the cloud. 

Amazon Connect now supports seven new languages, including Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, German, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese. This update provides you with a localized view when accessing the Amazon Connect management console, as well as your Amazon Connect contact center instances. 

Amazon RDS now supports encryption at rest for db.t2.small and db.t2.medium database instances. This support is available for the MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQL Server database engines, and can use AWS Key Management Service (KMS) or the engines’ Transparent Data Encryption technologies if available. 

The Amazon EC2 Container Service (ECS) RunTask and StartTask APIs now support three additional parameters in task definitions: cpu, memory, and memoryReservation. These additional override parameters make it easier to manage containers through the ECS API.

The dashboard provides visibility into important information, which helps you deliver a better customer support experience, and improve the utilization of your agents.

The self-service graphical interface makes it easy to design contact flows, manage agent utilization, and track performance metrics. Setting up a cloud-based contact center with Amazon Connect requires just a few clicks in the Amazon Connect console , allowing your agents to take calls within minutes.

AWS CloudTrail, a service that continuously monitors and logs your AWS account activity, now allows Amazon CloudWatch Events APIs to be viewed in the CloudTrail console API Activity History page. Previously, CloudWatch Events API actions were available in the S3 bucket log files. Now, you can look up these actions using the API Activity History page, CLI, or the CloudTrail API. This launch also includes additional APIs for the API Activity History page for Amazon EC2, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Cognito, Amazon Kinesis, AWS CloudHSM, and AWS Storage Gateway. You can use the API Activity History page to search for create, modify, and delete event activity from these services using a set of predefined filters. AWS Batch enables developers, scientists, and engineers to easily and efficiently run hundreds of thousands of batch computing jobs on AWS. AWS Batch dynamically provisions the optimal quantity and type of compute resources (e.g., CPU or memory optimized instances) based on the volume and resource requirements of jobs submitted to job queues. With AWS Batch, there is no need to install and manage batch computing software or server clusters, allowing you to instead focus on analyzing results and solving problems.
