The AWS Toolkit for JetBrains now provides developers with convenient IDE functionality to connect to Amazon ECS containers and issue commands using Amazon ECS Exec . This allows developers to directly interact with containers, such as running commands in or get a shell to an ECS container running on an Amazon EC2 instance or on AWS Fargate, without leaving their IDE. ECS Exec uses the AWS Systems Manager (SSM) Session Manager under the hood to establish a connection with the running container.
EMR Studio is now upgraded to JupyterLab v3.1.4
Amazon EMR Studio is an integrated development environment (IDE) that makes it easy for data scientists and data engineers to develop, visualize, and debug big data and analytics applications written in R, Python, Scala, and PySpark. With EMR Studio, you get fully managed notebooks based on JupyterLab. JupyterLab is the next-generation web-based user interface for open source Project Jupyter. Today, we are excited to announce that EMR Studio is now upgraded to JupyterLab v3.1.4, providing an enhanced user experience and new usability features.
One I missed: Dual matched low-noise JFETs
In a world with plenty of low-noise JFET input op-amps, who would have thought anyone would still be introducing a discrete dual JFET. Well, TI did in August: the JFE2140. Its target is high-end audio amplifiers. Thoughtfully integrated with lots of clamping diodes (12 of them), the pair achieves: 0.9nV/√Hz voltage noise (1kHz, 5mA Ids) 1.1nV/√Hz …

How To Handle Poor Performers
In his book High Output Management, Andy Grove showed this graphic depicting how he dealt with poor performers: Poor performers tend to ignore their problem, explained Grove, and the first step is getting them to actively deny the problem’s existence. The next stage is getting them to admit there’s a problem although they will insist …
