Amazon Aurora is now available to customers in the AWS EU (Frankfurt) region. This increases the number of available regions to twelve, giving you another option for database placement, availability and scalability.

We launched the third AZ in response to continued growth in the use of AWS in Germany and to provide customers with additional flexibility to architect applications across multiple AZs in Germany for high availability and fault tolerance. This launch brings AWS’s global AZ total to 43 AZs within 16 geographic Regions around the world.

AWS Schema Conversion Tool (SCT) can now export data from a wider range of commercial data warehouses.
