AWS Glue Data Quality now supports data quality monitoring across Amazon S3 Tables and AWS Lake Formation managed Iceberg tables. This enhancement helps organizations make confident business decisions by providing insights into data integrity and consistency across multiple data formats.
Before this launch, customers were unable to perform data quality checks on Amazon S3 tables and AWS Lake Formation managed Iceberg tables. Now, customers can use AWS Glue Data Catalog user interface (for managed Iceberg tables) or use AWS Glue Quality APIs (for Amazon S3 and managed Iceberg tables) to get data quality rule recommendations, evaluate rules, and view data quality scores for these new table types. These scores integrate with Amazon SageMaker Catalog, helping data consumers quickly identify, assess, and leverage high-quality data assets for ETL pipelines, machine learning models, and generative AI applications.
To learn more, see our page on AWS Glue Data Quality , read the blog, or refer to the documentation.

AWS announces a new AWS Network Firewall dashboard that enhances the integrated analytics experience between Amazon CloudWatch and Amazon OpenSearch Service. This expands the existing set of pre-built dashboards that include Amazon VPC, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS WAF logs. The dashboard delivers insights into network metrics, including traffic patterns, protocols, AWS PrivateLink endpoints, and TLS Server Name Indication (SNI) traffic.
The AWS Network Firewall dashboard helps security teams strengthen their troubleshooting capabilities by enabling them to monitor and analyze AWS Network Firewall logs alongside other AWS service logs in CloudWatch. Security administrators can quickly identify unusual network activity, monitor private network connections, and evaluate TLS policy effectiveness to optimize their network security configurations. Customers can create the AWS Network Firewall dashboard in CloudWatch Logs Insights or in the OpenSearch Service console.
The new dashboard is now available in the regions where OpenSearch Service direct query is available. Please read pricing and free tier details on Amazon CloudWatch Pricing , and OpenSearch Service Pricing .
To get started, visit the Amazon CloudWatch Logs documentation for analyzing with OpenSearch or the Amazon OpenSearch Service Developer Guide . For more information about AWS Network Firewall, visit the AWS Network Firewall product page .

Amazon Connect now allows businesses to introduce new actions and workflows into the agent workspace, powered by third-party applications running in the background. For example, when an agent logs in, they see a new training to complete, or when an agent initiates transfer, they see a company-specific phone directory. Agents can also perform new actions within their third-party applications, including filling out forms in pop-up windows and downloading files. When agents finish helping the customer, they can resume their work exactly where they left off. These new capabilities enable agents to complete more advanced workflows within a single-pane-of-glass experience, improving their productivity and customer satisfaction.
Third-party applications are available in the following AWS Regions : US East (N. Virginia), US-West (Oregon), Africa (Cape town), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), Canada (Central), Europe (Frankfurt), and Europe (London).
