Starting today, C5 instances are available in the AWS Asia Pacific (Singapore), EU (Frankfurt), and South America (São Paulo) Regions. C5 instances, the next generation of the Amazon EC2 Compute Optimized instances powered by 3.0 GHz Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors (Skylake), were introduced in November 2017. C5 instances are built using a new light-weight hypervisor, Nitro Hypervisor, which provides practically all of the compute and memory resources to customers’ workloads. 

Starting today, M5 instances are available in the AWS Asia Pacific (Singapore), Asia Pacific (Seoul) and EU (Frankfurt) Regions. M5 instances, the next generation of the Amazon EC2 General Purpose compute instances, were introduced in November 2017 to offer a balance of compute, memory, storage and networking resources for a broad range of customers’ workloads.

Starting today, Amazon Elasticsearch Service supports Elasticsearch 6.2 and Kibana 6.2. Elasticsearch 6.2 offers several enhancements over the Elasticsearch 6.0 stack, including a new ranking evaluation API, index splitting API, Vega interactive visualizations, and composite aggregations with paging.
