Bosch is to buy the buildings, machines and infrastructure of the silicon foundry TSI Semiconductors of Roseville, California (pictured) and spend $1.5 billion re-tooling 10,000 sq ft of cleanroom space to make SiC chips on 200mm wafers starting in 2026. Bosch said the full amount of future spending will “heavily depend” on federal funding opportunities. …
